FMR acknowledges that the land it will be leasing is on Fortress Mountain in Kananaskis Country, within the traditional territory of Treaty 7 in Southern Alberta. This region is also recognized as part of the historic Northwest Metis Homeland and remains home to the Otipemisiwak Metis Government of the Metis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. The development partners are committed to building long-term, respectful relationships with all local and affected Indigenous Peoples.
